Touchet takes the 2018 Ladies Jubilee

Thirty nine golfers took to the Prince Rupert Centennial Golf Course over the Seafest weekend of June 8 and 9, playing out 36 holes of golf in the Ladies Jubilee Tournament one of the main signature events for the city's golfing community.

When the final putt was registered on the final hole of the tourney, it was Jackie Touchet who took home the tournament honours claiming the Overall Low Gross as Champion.

Ms. Touchet, the former CPGA professional who is quite actively involved in the women's lesson's program at the golf course had a two day total of 158 split with a 77 on the Saturday, 81 on the Sunday.

The daughter of long time Golf Club legends Moe and Pam Hays has spent a good portion of her time on the local course through the years and is more than a bit familiar with every square inch of the course and the challenges it offers.

Among the highlights of the weekend from the Ladies Jubilee, was the welcome return to golfing for Pam Hays who found some success in the second flight on the weekend.

Next up for the Golf Course is this weekend's Mens Jubilee, which will put some of the regions top golfers to the test over three days, with Friday a practice round leading up to the competition of Saturday and Sunday.
