New season of golf brings the First Mens Day of the year today

A long held Prince Rupert tradition returns to the links of the Prince Rupert Golf Course today, as the 9th Avenue West course hosts the first Men's Day of the year with tee times set for 1 to 4 PM today.

Cost to tee up for the first Men's day is 40 dollars per player/ 160 per 4 man team and with that fee participants will receive a meal as part of the day, with golfers to indicate which of the three choices they are interested in prior to tee off.

The day ends with a Prize ceremony set for 8:30 PM, with the note that prize winners must be in attendance as Club Pro Tyler Stene makes the draws through the evening.

That means for those that may have to duck out for a bit, a return to the club house by 8:30 is a must should your name be called as one of the days winners.

You can find out if any tee times are still available from the Golf course at 250-624-2000 extension 1
