Northern Savings hires on new CEO

New leadership has been announced for Northern Savings Credit Union

After a fairly lengthy search, Northern Savings Credit Union has found their next top executive, with an announcement last month that Robert (Bob) Marshall will be joining the organization as President and Chief Executive Officer.

He comes to the North Coast with over 20 years of experience in the credit union system, including a number of leadership roles among them a senior role with Connect First Credit Union in Calgary, Alberta.

based Northern Savings
In their announcement, (see here) the Northern Savings Board expressed their confidence that Mr. Marshall will bring more than the required skills and attributes to provide leadership for Northern Savings Credit Union well into the future.

The financial services organization which is based out of Prince Rupert has branches on Haida Gwaii and in Terrace and had been searching for a new CEO following the departure of Fay Booker who resigned in September of 2018.

Ms. Booker had stepped into the position following the parting of ways with CEO Geoff Grodecki earlier that same year.

As we noted at the time, the last few years have seen a number of CEO's come and go from the Third Avenue West offices.

The arrival date for Mr. Marshall and his wife Shelley, had not yet been finalized as of the announcement.
