Wanted man re-captured by Prince Rupert RCMP

Prince Rupert RCMP have captured a resident
who had escaped lawful custody last week

A search for a wanted man that started last week has come to successful end, with the Prince Rupert detachment of the RCMP advising that David Wagner has been located and arrested.

As we outlined last Friday, the Mounties put out the call for assistance from the public after the Prince Rupert resident had escaped lawful custody near the Prince Rupert Hospital.

In an information release from this afternoon the Prince Rupert RCMP advise that he was taken into custody in the 1500 Block of Eight Avenue East today, he is set to face charges of assault, escape lawful custody, fail to comply with a release order and obstructing a peace officer.
