Pacific Northern Gas called to Port Edward Tuesday to resolve gas leak situation

Pacific Northern Gas was called to Port Edward
Tuesday to attend to a gas leak report in the District

Some residential users in the Port Edward area were without natural gas service on Tuesday, that after workers from Pacific Northern Gas were called to the Evergreen/Spruce Avenue area to address a gas leak in the area.

The District of Port Edward advised residents of the situation through their Social Media page yesterday morning, noting that there was no danger to the public.

So far there have been no follow up reports from either the District, or PNG, related to the repairs or what may have caused the situation from Tuesday.

Evergreen Drive is one of the areas that is currently seeing infrastructure and road reconstruction upgrades taking place, that work as part of a large scale replacement project taking place in the District.

When it comes to natural gas safety, Pacific Northern Gas does have some advice for customers as to the steps to take should you smell gas in your area.
