Adverse weather brings delay to departure from Haida Gwaii for Northern Adventure

Stormy weather has made for a sailing delay 
on the Skidegate-Prince Rupert run tonight

Some stormy conditions on Hecate Strait have put the Northern Adventure off its schedule, with BC Ferries assuring a Sailing Delay for tonight's scheduled crossing.

In their most recent Service Notice update, BC Ferries outlined that the revised departure time for the vessel out of Skidegate is 3AM, with an estimated arrival time of 9:30 Friday morning at Prince Rupert's BC Ferries Fairview terminal.

The Marine Forecast for the Hecate Strait region currently is realizing seas of 5 metres and winds of 50 knots from the Southeast.
