Sunday call out for Prince Rupert Fire/Rescue on City's East Side

The response to a fire call on Jamaica this weekend

Prince Rupert Firefighters made quick work of a weekend call to a residence on Jamaica Avenue on the City's East side.

The Prince Rupert Fire/Rescue Department dispatching eleven firefighters and four pieces of apparatus to the call which came in shortly after 1:30 on Sunday, September 19th.

The First engine company arrived on scene to smoke along the roofline, through the work of the full complement of responders to the scene,  the damage from the fire was limited to just an area of the attic space in the residence.

No injuries were reported from the incident; the cause later determined to that of an electrical malfunction.
