While the Prince Rupert area seems to have side stepped the last weather system of 24 hours ago, Environment Canada has returned with a new Advisory, with the National Weather Agency issuing a WIND WARNING on Thursday afternoon that will see strong winds develop on Friday for both the North Coast and Haida Gwaii.
Winds from the Southeast are anticipated with gusts of 110 km per hour from Friday afternoon to just after the midnight hour. The frontal system should be inland by Saturday afternoon.

Precipitation that will accompany the system could bring up to 120 mm of rain through the weekend
As this latest systems moves in from the Pacific it will also churn the Hecate Strait, with a STORM WARNING now in effect, the conditions to bring winds of up to 55 Knots by tomorrow evening and seas building up to 5 metres through Friday afternoon.
