Prince Rupert Campus of Coast Mountain College to host COVID vaccination clinic today

Coast Mountain College is hosting a COVID-19 clinic today
with Northern Health on hand to administer COVID-19 vaccines
to anyone who stops by through the day

One more chance to access a COVID vaccination is set for later this morning as the Prince Rupert Campus of Coast Mountain College hosts Northern Health in their second and final vaccination pop up clinic.

The previous pop up clinic was held on September 8th and was well received, with Northern Health administering close to fifty shots of the COVID vaccine.

The clinic which takes place from 10 AM to 4 PM is not limited to Coast Mountain Students and is available to anyone who drops in to take advantage of the community outreach program.

The Coast Mountain College campus is on Fifth Street just off Third Avenue West or Fraser Street

While Prince Rupert has had a strong success rate in residents taking the jab, thanks to two large scale community clinics earlier this year, there are still some in the community who have yet to take advantage of the supply of vaccine available in the community.

This month has seen a surge in the number of cases of COVID for Northern Health, the vast majority of them in the Bulkley Valley and points east of the Health Authority.

If you can't make the Coast Mountain Clinic you can take advantage of the Northern Health Unit's COVID program each week at the Ocean Centre.
