Affordable housing progress, infrastructure among themes for Port Edward update for District residents

It was a busy summer for the District of Port Edward, with their update for September tracking some of the projects that have been of note over the last few months for residents.

In a Message for September from Mayor Knut Bjorndal, the District officials note of the completion of roadwork in the Evergreen and Wildwood Road area, the major road reconstruction work hoped to be just the start, with plans for future projects dependent on the District's success in accessing grants.

Another housing theme is explored in the September update, that of the District's redevelopment plan for the Alder Avenue Area, which will be developed in phases, with the District to provide more details on the plans as they move forward with the potential developer.
