Rogers woes Canada wide leave cell users disconnected in Prince Rupert across Northwest


Update: Rogers cellular  service had returned to the North Coast by mid Friday evening.

A massive Canada Wide Cellular network outage for customers of the Rogers Service has left customers without cellular phone service across the nation and in the Northwest, the Canadian service provider making note of their situation through social media earlier today as those in the east awoke to the 'No Service' warning on their phones, the situation migrating west as the day moved forward.

The outage also has impacted on those who use the Fido, Chatr and Rogers Speakout mobile services.

The situation has also impacted the 911 service across Canada, including Prince Rupert with the City of Prince Rupert sending out an information message through their Social Media feed and mobile app this morning about the communication issues.


Rogers noted in their alert to the situation that they will keep customers updated as the day moves along, the most recent update came at 830 AM pacific time.

It's the second communication outage in two days for Prince Rupert, yesterday the city had advised that some cellular providers were not connecting calls made to City Hall.
