CIHL season gets closer as teams move into Tryouts and Training camp period

The 2023-24 CIHL Season is getting closer and before we know it
the Jim will be rocking for another year of AA Men's Hockey

There's new ice in at the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre and that means that the 2023-24 CIHL Hockey season is just around the corner as the leagues eight teams once again make their quest for the Coy Cup Championship come March.

A quick scan around the league shows the launch of tryouts for many of the league's teams as the calendar flipped to September.

So far, the Prince Rupert Rampage have had a quiet summer, with few updates to share through their social media page towards the season ahead.

The North Coast Review has put in a request for a look ahead to the 2023-24 season launch and should we hear back we'll update the local themes as we have in previous seasons.

Some of the CIHL teams have released their schedule for the year ahead, which will see the 2023-24 season launch in late September, with the lively rivalry between the River Kings and Rampage set to return to the ice at the Jim on October 21st.

That will be the first of three match ups for the two teams in the regular season.

The Rampage host their Season Opener on September 30th, the Hazelton comes to town

The Rampage will be observing Truth and Reconciliation Day and have a program in place for that game.

Hockey fans that follow the CIHL may also have a new resource to make note of for the year ahead, a Social Media page launched this week, with the prospect of wider CIHL coverage ahead for the 2023-24 season.

As we get closer to puck drop at the Jim, we'll build up our archive for season, so keep an eye out for more Rampage and CIHL notes in the weeks ahead.
