Painting Day for Rainbow Pathway in Prince Rupert

It's painting day for Cow Bay, as volunteers prepare to put down a new
coat of paint on the Rainbow Crossing along George Hills Way

A sunny day should make for some quick work for those volunteers taking part in today's touch up for the city's Rainbow pathway, with work set to take place starting at 4 PM this afternoon.

The pathway which crosses over the tidal area behind Cowpuccino's was created in the Spring of 2016, with the walk way along George Hills way proving to be a popular background for photos over the last few years as well as recognition of the community's LGBTQ population.

Some background on the path towards the pathway can be found below:

City work crews power washed the the crossing in recent days in preparation for the volunteers to grab their brushes and get to work today.
