Prince Rupert Golf Club to welcome new Pro in February

After a fairly expansive search the Prince Rupert Golf Club Executive has found their pro, with the Club announcing the hiring of Tyler Stene to be the new Golf Pro/Club House Manger in 2019, with Mr. Stene and his wife Alexandria making the move from Victoria in February.

The new golf pro is no stranger to the Northwest having grown up in the Smithers area.

The Prince Rupert Club was without a Pro the past few seasons following the departure of Dave Belling who relocated to Nelson in the spring of 2017.

Mr. Stene will take on his duties as of February 1st joining the Golf Club to work alongside the Golf Course's Peter Drake, who is keeping busy in the off season working towards a number of items on the Golf Course to do list.

At the Club House the holiday spirit is in full swing with Christmas hours in effect from December 14 to the 24th, with a number of sale items available for those looking to wrap up their Christmas Gift Giving with something for the spring/summer golfing season.

Pro Shop hours up until Christmas Eve are:

Friday, December 14 --  4 pm – 6 pm
Saturday, December 15 --  12 pm – 2 pm
Thursday, December 20 -- 4 pm – 6 pm
Friday,  December 21 -- 4 pm – 6 pm
Saturday, December 22  -- 12 pm – 2 pm
Sunday, December 23  -- 12 pm - 2 pm
Monday,  December 24  -- 12 pm – 2 pm

As well, for the parsimonious of golfers in the community, word of a pending increase in Green Fess will soon be delivered, however those looking to save a little coin on their golfing adventures can purchase their 2019 Green fees this month and get them at the 2018 Fee Schedule rates.
