Prince Rupert Friendship House searching for Executive Director

One of Prince Rupert's best known institutions is looking for a new leader, with the Friendship House currently accepting resumes for the position of Executive Director.

Friendship House provides a range of services in the city and while inclusive in nature, they have a focus on issues of  the First Nations of the North Coast, with some of the key areas that they address being education, health, culture and recreation.

The prospective candidate will be one who can work strategically with the Board of Directors to oversee the daily operations of the Fraser Street location, as well as to represent the Friendship House at community activities.

Experience in Non profit management and aboriginal cultural knowledge are also listed as some of the key aspects of the position available.

Applicants will also be expected to manage human resources issues and programs, as well as to be able to engage with stakeholders who partner with the Friendship House.

The deadline for applications is Friday, October 10th.

Submitted resumes should come with a cover letter which specifies how the applicant meets the guidelines of experience and qualifications.
