Masset to Terrace air service launches with three flights per week

Last month we outlined the plans for a new air service for the North Coast that will connect Haida Gwaii with Terrace, a service that is being touted as providing the opportunity for residents of the Islands to travel to the "economic hub" of the region.

The flight schedule for Air Tindi has now been firmed up, with the airline introducing their three times a week service.

For those travelling from Terrace to Masset by way of flight 235 will depart at 11:15AM on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, arriving on Haida Gwaii at 12:25 PM.

Terrace bound flight number 236 is scheduled for those same three days, with departures from the Masset airport at 12:55, arriving at the Terrace-Kitimat airport at 2:05 in the afternoon.

Air Tindi is highlighting the connecting flight opportunities to Prince George and Calgary that are available through the Terrace airport.

The new air service provides additional travel options for those on Haida Gwaii that may have more than just some Terrace shopping on their travel agenda.

The nature of the schedule requires overnight stays for travellers who may only be travelling to Terrace for shopping or other reasons, something that will be a boost for that city's hospitality industry.

The new transportation connection in the Northwest features an introductory fare of 199.00 one way, with taxes and fees extra. Those looking to take advantage of the new service can contact Air Tindi Reservations at 1-888-545-6794 for more information, further background on what Air Tindi has to offer can be found from their website.
