Aurora LNG officially takes Grassy Point site off its development list, will focus on Digby Island proposal

With Aurora LNG putting all of its focus on their proposed LNG Terminal development for Digby Island now, the company took care of some formalities last week, forwarding to the Province of British Columbia its notice to withdraw from any further investigation of the Grassy Point option.

The letter dated January 6th outlines the decision to move forward with their plans for the Digby Island option. (see letter here)

As part of their advisory to the Environmental Assessment Office, Aurora LNG advised that further Digby Island would be part of a comprehensive, multi-year review process, before a final site decision can made.

The Environmental Assessment Office followed up that correspondence with confirmation of receipt of Aurora LNG's intent, taking the Grassy Point proposal off its list of active proposals. (see correspondence here).
