The Charles Hays Senior Boys Rainmakers will be looking to improve on their third place rankings in AAA Basketball this weekend as they welcome Queen Charlotte Secondary to the Charles Hays Gym for three match ups tonight and tomorrow.
Tonight's game tips off at 7:30, with the Saturday doubleheader scheduled for start times of 11 AM and 7 PM.
Queen Charlotte Secondary Saints, much like the Rainmakers received a fair amount of attention at last years Championship Tournaments in Langley, with Nathan Vogstad leading the Saints through the March tourney.
Vogstad has moved on to University ball with SFU, making 2014-15 a year for some of the other members of the Saints to step into the spotlight.
North Coast residents can take the early measure of the Queen Charlotte program for this year through the three games this weekend.
For the Rainmakers, the year so far has been one of increased attention from Basketball officials to the south, with the CHSS squad ranking third overall in the most recent provincial listings heading into the Christmas break.
The next review of AAA teams is set to come next week, a solid effort over the weekend at the CHSS gym should help secure the Rainmaker hold on the top tier of the top 10.
