Freezing Rain Advisory and Snowfall WARNING for North Coast Inland sections

Travel eastbound into Terrace and beyond could become complicated later this evening as Pacific Front arriving on the North Coast mixes Cold Air currently trapped in the Skeena Valley.

The indications are such that Environment Canada has issued a warning and a advisory for the North Coast Inland  areas, outlining the potential conditions for Heavy Snowfall, along with Freezing Drizzle through the evening.

Snowfall amounts for near Terrace are expected to range from 5 to 10 centimetres, while the Freezing Drizzle conditions could change to Freezing Rain as the evening progresses.

You can access updated weather conditions for the Terrace area here.

For the North Coast coastal areas, the pacific front will be mainly a wind and rain event, with 20 mm of rain anticipated and winds from the Southeast from 40 to 60 kilometres, temperatures will remain steady at 9 overnight into Tuesday.

To keep up to date on road conditions for Highways in the Terrace area you can access updated information from the Drive BC website or twitter feed.
