The Hub opens its doors in downtown Prince Rupert

Prince Rupert now has a new option in local bars with a focus on Sports, as the Hub open-end its doors over the weekend.

An opening that comes at a timely moment, with the Super Bowl on the way this weekend and All Native Tournament participants and fans set to arrive in the city as well.

This past weekend, the Big Screen TV's were aplenty, as The Hub welcomed the first of its patrons, with the newest entrant in the Prince Rupert Entertainment scene making for a combination Sports Bar/Nightclub located above Subway.

The Hub is home in the same spot that once hosted the Legendary Surf Club in years past.

Besides the accent on Sports, the Hub will feature a wide range of Chicken Wings and a number of other appetizers, all which are the thing of popular staples at Sports Bars everywhere.

The entertainment moves beyond the Sport on TV as well, with the Hub featuring a dance floor and music through the evening.

The renovation project started in the fall and only wrapped up this week, as the finishing touches to the new downtown nightspot were put in place.
