Senior Boy's Rainmakers take sweep of weekend play

The  Charles Hays Rainmakers did their part over the weekend to try and regain some of their standing in the Provincial ranking, taking three of three games in weekend play at the Charles Hays Gymnasium.

The Rainmakers recorded check marks in the win column finding success over Caldeonia on Friday, as well as a pair of victories over Masset and Smithers on Saturday.

The Smithers game featuring 15 three pointers for Charles Hays as a large number of the Rainmakers found their range.

Saturday

Rainmakers 71 vs Smithers 55
Smithers 73 vs Mount Elizabeth 55

Friday

Rainmakers 86 vs Caledonia 64

The Rainmakers head back to the court today, with an overnight trip to Haida Gwaii for two games on the Island, with the Queen Charlotte Secondary School's Skidegate Saints hosting a string of match ups later in the day.

The Rumble in the Rainforest features four games through the day, with tip-offs at 5, 6:30, 8 and 9 PM.

The team returns to Prince Rupert on Tuesday morning.

As for the rest of the Rainmaker program for the weekend

The Senior Girls were in action as well over the weekend, travelling to New Hazelton

The Senior Girls recorded victories over Mount Elizabeth by a score of 63-43 on Saturday morning, with a 74-37 victory over Hazelton in the afternoon.

The Junior Girls picked up wins on the road as well in weekend play.

The Junior Boys had the weekend off.
