The three months of rehearsals, set building, costume creating and prop construction have all come to an end for the students, staff and volunteers from Charles Hays Secondary School.
And shortly after 7:30 tonight, the spotlight will shine on the stage at the Lester Centre, as Alison O'Toole's latest Charles Hays theatre production gets underway.
The Classic Gilbert and Sullivan presentation, The Pirates of Penzance gets the Charles Hays touch for a three day run, with shows this evening and Friday at 7:30 and a Saturday afternoon presentation set for 2 PM.

Providing just a small sample of the amount of work, planning and rehearsal time that has gone into delivering three nights of theatre this weekend.
Yesterday, the city's weekly paper provided a backgrounder as well to help set the scene for the next three nights at the Lester Centre.
Tickets for the shows this weekend cost 15 dollars for adults, 10 dollars for students and are available in advance at Cooks Jewellers and the Lester Centre of the Arts.
Keep in mind, that those that prefer to make their theatre appearances a last minute thing, the cost of admission increases by two dollars for those who purchase their tickets at the door.
