Avalanche Awareness Days highlighted over the weekend

With British Columbia now entering the height of its avalanche season, the Provincial Government highlighted the need for more attention to conditions, by recognizing this past weekend as Avalanche Awareness Days.

Avalanche Canada provides a aid range of information and awareness issues through its website, including Forecast information from around the province, for the Northwest Coastal and Interior region those forecasts can be found here.

The website provides background on training courses and news items related to avalanche confers along with the Avalanche ratings for both the Northwest Coastal and Interior areas.

As well, outdoor enthusiasts  can access information on proper preparations for back country adventures can be found here.
