There's no time to recover from your New Year's excesses for members of the Prince Rupert Curling Club, with league play back on the pebbled ice this week along with two events set for this month to jump start the curling season in 2019.
The first of the curling events arrives this Saturday January 5th with the 4th Annual New Beers Resolution, where those that are new to the sport can drop in and take in some Free curling and some instruction on the ice as part of the initiative to help build the local Curling community.
The event starts at 7PM and features food from Mucho Gusto Catering and beverages from Prince Rupert's Wheelhouse Brewing Company.
In two weeks time, it's the Fishermen's Sturling Spiel, which features Three games for 2 Person teams. The Sturling takes place on Saturday, January 19th with the entry fee for the all day event wet at 50 dollars, which includes a dinner.
Door prizes and draws bring the evening to a close.
The registration deadline for the event is Wednesday, January 16th.
