The Unemployment Action Centre at Fishermen's Hall is the host of a number of Free programs on a various themes in March and April |
An opportunity to learn some basic computer skills is the first of a number of free programs to be hosted over the next two months by the Change Makers Education Society in Prince Rupert.
The local advocacy group will be setting up in the Unemployed Action Centre at Fisherman's Hall on Fraser Street for this month, with their Free Computer workshops to run from 9 to Noon.
The program design is to provide lessons that will help participants gain a better understanding of computers and what you can do with them.
Focus for the Workshops will be how to create an e mail account and develop your typing skills.
With government programs now dependent on some form of computer access, the program will help those in attendance to learn how to apply for social assistance and employment Insurance, create a WorkBC account and file taxes online.
Transportation and Child Care supports are available for those who may need them.
