The Charles Hays Senior Boys Rainmakers are off to a strong start on the North Shore of Greater Vancouver, with Maker's claiming their first win of the No Regrets Tourney on Thursday afternoon.

Some impressive point totals from Tyler Jones, Caden Pagens and Kai Leighton led the way with Jones making for 24 points, Pagens 21 and Leighton 15 on the afternoon helping to lead the Charles Hays squad to a 79 to 65 victory over Kelowna's Mount Boucherie.

The Quinn Keast Tournament writers have posted a synopsis of the Day one action between the Makers and Bears, making note of the compete level of the Rainmakers and some of the strong defensive play that they put in motion.

You can review those notes here.

Prior to the start of the Tournament the Rainmakers had an exhibition matchup Wednesday evening with Kitsilano, with Charles Hays coming out on the winning side of that contest 77 to 63.

The Rainmakers move on to Friday action today with a 3:30 tip off against Killarney Cougars at the West Vancouver Secondary School Gymnasium.

The Killarney squad topped West Van in day one action 76 to 45 and should provide another good challenge for the North Coast squad.

A bit of a scouting report on what the Rainmakers may meet up with on the court later today can be found here.
