The rankings, which were released this week find the Charles Hays boys gaining an honourable mention in the first instalment of the list that charts the success of team at the Junior level, with the Rainmakers in tight with some big name schools from the south.
The Charles Hays team is the only one from Northern British Columbia listed in the debut poll.
Mr. Sawka and his team start the season on the road for the next two weeks, with a trip to Smithers on the schedule for Saturday.
That trip to the Bulkley Valley will be followed by another road trip next week and games from December 11-15th, that as part of the annual trek to Prince George for the Polars Tournament.

The pre season polling should offer up some extra incentive for the Junior Boys as they look to ensure that the Lower Mainland teams remember that there is some strong basketball to be found on the North Coast.
All with an eye on a personal introduction to Rainmaker ball at the Provincial Championships in 2020.
The first opportunity for Prince Rupert fans to see the team on the home court comes up on December 20 and 21 when they take part in the annual Rainmaker Alumni tournament.

The Junior boys will be looking to navigate the year successfully towards the end of February and a return trip to Provincials at the Langley Events Centre, last year the Junior Boys had a 3-2 record for their tournament experience at the Big BC Showcase of basketball.
