Environment Canada issued a WIND WARNING for all of the North and Central Coast as well as Haida Gwaii on Sunday evening, with Winds of up to 50 to 70 km/h expected by the morning/afternoon, increasing to 90 km/h into Monday overnight.
The Strong winds will arrive as part of weather system set to make for a wet week for the region, with Rain at times heavy expected for the Prince Rupert area through Monday.
The Marine forecast has been upgraded as well, with a STORM WARNING now in effect for the Hecate Strait with winds up to 50 knots into Monday evening with seas building to 4 metres tonight before subsiding.
