Traffic was slow along Second West this afternoon as emergency service responders worked in two locations in the downtown core |
What appears to have been an incident involving at least three vehicles was the subject of a call for assistance for members of the Prince Rupert Fire/Rescue Department and those from the Prince Rupert RCMP on Thursday afternoon.
Fire/Rescue personnel were stationed at two locations as part of their response for the incident which took place sometime just before 1PM. One at the corner of Fifth Street and Second Avenue West, the other a bit further down Sixth Street and the same thoroughfare.

A tow truck and fire fighters were tending to the Sixth Street Vehicle, while Fire/Rescue and RCMP were also alongside a container truck with container and another mid size car along the side of Second West near Subway.
No further information has been noted so far related to the situation which had slowed traffic through the downtown area during the work of the responders.
All of those on the scene had wrapped things up by 1:30.
