When the Prince Rupert Rampage hit the ice on Saturday night at 7PM for their season debut with the Kitimat Ice Demons, they will be hoping to see a wave of Orange in the stands, with fans planning to attend the CIHL opener asked to don Orange for the occasion in observance of the Every Child Matters initiative.

Towards making sure that the Jim Ciccone Civic Centre is indeed a Sea of Orange, the Prince Rupert Port Authority has joined in on the plans for the night, making limited edition Every Child Matters Tee Shirts available to the public by donation, with all funds to be directed towards two destinations.

The first, the Indian Residential Schools Survivors Society of British Columbia and the Friendship HouseAssociation of Prince Rupert.

The Port relayed their plans for the shirt sale prior to the home opener through they Social Media accounts over the last few days.

In addition to paying tribute to those impacted by the Residential School System, Saturday's season opener will also allow the Prince Rupert Rampage to honour their longtime trainer Jules Robinson.

Mr. Robinson passed away earlier this year leaving a lasting legacy with the hockey club and its players, with the team set to pay their tributes as part of the game presentation.
