North Coast Transition Society prepare to mark observance of Montreal Massacre

December 6th is a date that continues to resonate in sombre remembrance across Canada as Canadians return to the horrors of the night from 1989 that saw fourteen women murdered while attending classes at Montreal's Ecole Polytechnique.

The murders, one of the most horrific in Canadian history, continue to call attention to violence against women and December 6th has been proclaimed as the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

As they have through the years since the violence of Montreal, the North Coast Transition Society will be hosting a vigil on Thursday, December 6th, co-hosted by Coast Mountain College's Prince Rupert Campus.

The commemoration takes place from Noon to 1 PM in the Multi-Purpose room of the college
