New Windows mark makeover for Prince Rupert's Argosy

The makeover is near complete for Prince Rupert's Argosy

For a place that features some of the fascinating items of the past, the new storefront for Prince Rupert's Argosy is exploring themes somewhat modernistic in nature.

The popular browsing spot on the western end of the city's downtown core recently installed large new windows for the Third Avenue location, offering a bright new look into the home of collectibles and antiques on the North Coast.

The new storefront, among some of the finishing touches to the street front makeover makes for a marked departure from the original entry way and highlights the investment that the owners Frances and Richard have put into the community since they opened the trendy antiques emporium back in 2013.

You can get some background on the renovations as well as a sample of some of the items that they have in stock from the Argosy Facebook page, though a trip through the store is something that any dedicated collector will want to make, just to see what's new.

With the Argosy owners making frequent trips out of town on buying missions, the Argosy stock can rotate with a pretty quick turnaround, which could mean missing out on some of those one of a kind items if you don't make the store part of your weekly walkabout ritual.

The local collectible store and art gallery has quickly gained recognition for the impact it has had on the city's commercial scene, most recently winning honours as Best Marketer at the BC Small Business Awards

You can stop in and get a sample of some of that marketing approach with a visit to the Argosy at 985 Third Avenue West
