Prince Rupert Ground Search and Rescue on search for new members

The local group dedicated to lending assistance to those in trouble in the backcountry is looking for new members, with the Prince Rupert Ground Search and Rescue Organization ready to show you the ropes.

The group recently provided a shout out for new members through their Facebook page, while also providing an update on some recent events for their organization.

Earlier this month some of the current members spent a weekend improving on their tracking skills, taking part in the Track Aware program, where they were introduced to terminology, methodology and other measures.

As part of their efforts, a pair of their current roster were awarded certification in two elements of the Track aware program.

From their Facebook page,  you can find more background on their work and contact information should you wish to join their team.

More notes on their past work and that of other Emergency responders on the North Coast can be found on our archive page.
