Final Day for Trading Coast spots for 2019 summer marketplace

The Trading Coast Marketplace project is back for a second year, with this years program building on the success of a one day market place hosted in September of 2018.

That event hosted on September 22nd saw a number of local vendors and artisans set up shop as part of a program hosted at the top of hill from the Northland Terminal.

This year's program will see locally produced and handmade goods sold at four Indoor market sessions at 120-101 1st Avenue East, which is the Hecate Strait Employment Development space which will serve as a consignment store, as part of the retail and customer training course that is offered by the organization.

The move indoors makes for a change from the 2018 program which was an outdoor street festival type of plan.

Trading Coast Market Days take place on the following dates

Wednesday, July 31
Wednesday, August 7
Saturday, August 10
Saturday, August 17

Two of the four dates coincide with Cruise Ship port calls at the Northland Terminal, with Crystal Symphony due in port on August 7th with 922 potential customers, along with another 212 from the Star Legend available to wander through the market .

The August 17th market date will take place when the Seabourn Sojourn and Oceania Regatta call on the city, with a potential for an additional 1,134 passengers arriving in the city that day.

The deadline to respond for the opportunity to participate in the Market is today, you can contact Alicia at 250-624-9498 or by email at alicia@hseds.ca to get more information.
