Prince Rupert RCMP seek public's assistance in search for missing Lax Kw'alaams man

The Prince Rupert RCMP are looking for the assistance of the public as they seek to locate a Lax Kw'alaams resident now reported as missing.

Lawrence Douglas Maitland was last seen at approximately 2PM between July 17 and 18th when he was pushing his bicycle on Victoria Street in Lax Kw'alaams.

At the time he was last seen wearing all black clothing, black wrap around sunglasses and black work boots. Mr. Maitland is described as follows:

A 42 year old First Nations male, Five foot, nine inches with black hair, in a slicked back mo-hawk style. He also has a black goatee.

The Prince Rupert RCMP is concerned for Mr. Maitland's well being, should you have any information to share on his whereabouts, you are asked to contact the local detachment at 250-627-0700 or Crimestoppers at 1800-222-8477 (TIPS)
