Planning continues for Summer's Wrap up in the Bulkley Valley

If Prince Rupert's Seafest marks the unofficial start for summer for the Northwest, then Smithers Bulkley Valley Exhibition is the book end piece to remind us that summer will one day end.

The Annual Event hosted at the Bulkley Valley Fairgrounds will be celebrating it's 100th Anniversary, with the summers' end festival taking on the theme of "Into the Future and Back to Our Roots"

This summers finale is set for the east side of Smithers along the banks of the Bulkley River from August 22 to 24.

The BV X is a popular destination for many Prince Rupert residents looking to get both the country and urban vibes that Smithers offers up every August.

The competition in the rodeo arena and the agricultural sector gives the BV X a very different look than many of the other Northwest events of the summer

The Main stage is also the heart of the Fair Experience and this year one of the headline acts will celebrate the Musical memories of ABBA, with the Canadian Tribute Band Arrival to be the opening night Showcase Act.

Country Night is Friday August 23rd, with Kenny Hess set to bring the country to the city.

Also getting into the Exhibition mood is the Bulkley Valley Museum which will be featuring a Community Exhibition on 100 years of Fall Fair Exhibits with the showing to take place from August 13 to September 7

The Exhibition Parade takes place on August 21st setting the scene for the three days of fun in the Bulkley Valley.

More notes on the Exhibition will be released over the coming weeks on the way to the Exhibition's Opening Day of August 22.

You can keep up to date with all the planning for edition number 100 for the Bulkley Valley Exhibition through their Facebook page or Website.
