Prince Rupert RCMP seek assistance of the public in locating missing Alberta couple



Update: The Alberta couple of concern to the RCMP have been found safe at their Alberta home, the Prince Rupert detachment thanks the public for their attention to their call for assistance.

The Prince Rupert detachment of the RCMP have requested the assistance of the public in locating a missing couple of Alberta residents.

Roderick And Helen Giffin were last seen on Monday morning at 11 AM checking out of a hotel in the 900 block of Third Avenue West in Prince Rupert, and were last seen travelling in a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze with an Alberta licence Plate of BDJ 3407

The supplied photo from the RCMP shows a similar make to the car in question.



There was no indication as to what their travel plans may have been; or in which direction they were travelling as part of the information release from the RCMP this evening.

The two Albertan Seniors are described as follows:

Roderick Giffin is a Caucasian male, 91 years of age. He is Five foot, eight inches 181 pounds, is bald, has blue eyes and wears glasses.

His spouse, Helen Giffin is a Caucasian woman, 89 years of age. She is Five foot Five in height, weighs 132 pounds, has grey hair, wears glasses and is described as hard of hearing.

related to the whereabouts of Roderick & Helen Giffin


The RCMP are concerned for their well being and ask if anyone has information related to their whereabouts to contact the local detachment at 250-627-0700 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS)
