Northern Health looks to replace Heli Pad at Prince Rupert Regional Hospital
A new Heli Pad for Prince Rupert Regional Hospital could be in the works as Northern Health puts a replacement project out for Bid, issuing its call for applications through the BC Bid process.
The Heli Pad, is a highly used part of the health care system on the North Coast and serves as one of a number of key connection points for the Hospital for access to more advanced care in Vancouver or service to outlying communities in the region.
The scope of the project is to take place in four phases, with the successful bidder to provide for the following elements of work.
Demolition of the existing take-off and landing concrete pad
Installation of new pad including heat trace cables
Interconnection of existing heat trace system to 600V supply
Heliport TFLO Painting
The Prince Rupert Hospital Heliport is located due east of the Summit Avenue facility, up the hill from the upper parking lot at PRRH.
The complete details related to time lines and other elements of the project are available to contractors who have an access code for Bid Central infrastructure process.
The deadline for applications is July 18th at 2PM
