Another piece of Prince Rupert's wilderness could soon make for the next stage of trail planning for Kaien Trails |
A chance to see what Kaien Trails has planned next for Prince Rupert's expanding trail system comes up on Saturday, July 20th when the local organization takes to the Seal Cove Area for a hike along the proposed next route.
A post to their Facebook Page today outlines the plan, with those interested in taking part asked to meet up at the Seal Cove lagoon area near the Water Taxi at 9:30 AM before the trek along the proposed trail way.
Those looking to attend should dress for a trip into the wilderness with hiking or rubber boots and work gloves as some of the sections of the proposed trail are still very wet.
The project would to an effect make for an extension of the Rushbrook Trail which has comes to an end at the McLean's shipyard, with the next area of note found to the south of the Seaplane base.
Kaien Trails work on the Rushbrook to Seal Cove trail earned it much praise for those that assisted in the rebuild of the once abandoned trail along the harbour on the city's east side.
