New offices are greeting clients of Prince Rupert Aboriginal Community Services who recently moved into the old Uncle Buck's location in the office complex |
They didn't move far and they've only been in their new digs for a couple of weeks now, but for the Prince Rupert Aboriginal Community Services Society their new Ocean Centre space puts them in the centre of many options for their client base.
The non-profit organization which provides a range of programs such as Better at Home, Indigenous Justice, Aboriginal Headstart and the Reaching Home program to name a few, relocated in late June, reopening in the old Uncle Buck's Restaurant location in the downtown office building.
The new office at #265 - 309 Second Avenue West is part of the main floor of the Ocean Centre complex and keeps them in close proximity to Northern Health's downtown offices, Pacific Coast School, the Service Canada offices, as well as those of MLA Jennifer Rice.
All of which are also located in the Ocean Centre.
One block to the west is Prince Rupert City Hall should there be a need to touch base with civic officials as well and like the previous space the office remains close to the city's main transit exchange for bus connections across the city and on to Port Edward.
To find out more about the services they offer to the Prince Rupert area, see their website and Facebook page.
