Seven Seas Mariner makes final port call for 2019 Cruise season

The Seven Seas Mariner is in port until 6 PM tonight

Today marks the second visit for 2019 for the Seven Seas Mariner, the Regent Cruise line ship pulling into the Northland Terminal at 7AM today for its eleven hour stop over in the city.

As the passengers took to their activities, some of the destinations of interest for many were the Museum of Northern BC, the shops of Cow Bay and the Sunken Gardens in the immediate vicinity of the Cruise Ship dock.

Others were lining up for the shore based bus excursions and other opportunities to explore a little further afield, or to wander the downtown streets and stores as the Wednesday port call agenda unfolded.

With 700 passengers aboard, the Seven Seas Mariner is the second larger vessels to call on the city, with the port call today the final one that the Regent vessel has scheduled for 2019.

Today makes for a dress rehearsal of sorts for when the largest vessel of the season arrives, with the Crystal Symphony and it's 922 guests plus crew scheduled for August 7th.

Prince Rupert's visitors today were greeted by sunny skies in the morning, with clouds moving in by noon hour, however by mid day the showers had arrived with some downpours making for a show of umbrellas into the afternoon.

You can check out the Seven Seas Mariner from the Cow Bay Dock, Atlin Terminal or Mariner's Park until 6 PM tonight.

Thursday brings the somewhat smaller Seabourn Sojourn to port, with a potential 450 guests set to arrive at 8AM.
