Weather Warning issued for North Coast Inland areas

While the Prince Rupert area is in the midst of a rain and wind event for this Monday, those travelling inland will want to make note of the Weather Warning that has been issued by Environment Canada which is calling for periods of snow mixed with freezing rain, with accumulation of up to 15 centimetres, more likely north of Terrace, expected through the day before the system tapers to flurries.

Currently the Highway Cameras at Rainbow Summit and Kwinitsa show snow on the highway

For Prince Rupert the day will be mostly a windy one, with gusts of up to 70 km/h before the system dies down  to bring showers this evening and tomorrow.
