Gale Warning for Hecate Strait makes for Ferry schedule revision for Northern Expedition

It will be an earlier departure than planned for the Northern Expedition
tomorrow owing to adverse weather brewing up on the North Coast

Another pacific weather system is making its way towards the North Coast and already has created conditions offshore that have led to a GALE WARNING to be put in place, a measure that has given BC Ferries cause towards a schedule revision for Thursday's sailing of the Northern Expedition.

As a result the vessel will depart Prince Rupert at 8AM tomorrow with a 3 PM arrival for passengers in Skidegate, the news relayed through a Service Notices advisory from earlier today.

To stay  up to date on any changes to that sailing plan follow the BC Ferries twitter feed, or log onto their Service Notices page.

More notes related to marine transportation on the North Coast and area can be explored here.
