A fresh coat of pavement for Prince Rupert Fire/Rescue in honour of Fire Safety Week

While Prince Rupert's Firefighters were answering Calls and making their rounds for Fire Safety Information sharing this week, City workers were taking advantage of a few sunny days by laying down a fresh layer of pavement in front of the First Avenue Fire Hall.

As we outlined earlier this week, through to Saturday, the focus is on Fire Safety around the home or worksite, with this years focus being put on the Sounds of Fire Safety.

The PRFD like Fire Departments across North America has been sharing Fire Safety messages around the community, including online from their Social Media page.

Also sharing some thoughts on Fire Safety Week was North Coast MLA Jennifer Rice, Parliamentary Secretary for Emergency Preparedness, who amplified the message on Sounds of Fire Safety.

Some additioal Fire Safety themes are explore through the BC Office of the Fire Commissioner
