Provincial officials to release enhanced health and safety guidelines for BC schools this morning

BC's Public Health Officer Doctor Bonnie Henry
will be outlining enhanced COVID measures for Schools later  this AM

Teachers, administrators, parents and students will all be waiting for 10:30 this morning, collectively waiting to see what Doctor Bonnie Henry and Education Minister Jennifer Whiteside have to share with class when it comes to moving forward this school year with enhanced  Health And Safety guidelines towards COVID.

The advisory of the information session was issued on Thursday with the  one hour Information session to be streamed live through a range of BC Government channels.

Among the options the session will be amiable through the BC Government Facebook Page.

The Guidelines that will be revealed today, come following news that a number of British Columbia School Districts have begun to take additional measures of their own, mostly related to mask wearing.

Those moves came in response to concerns from parents about rising cases of COVID being reported in Provincial Schools.

Earlier this week, the Province returned to reporting on COVID situations in the schools, posting details through each of the Regional Health Authorities.

The Northern Health listings can be reviewed here.

School District 52 published their Back to School COVID measures in August which you can review here, though there  will most likely be some additions to those files before the day is over.
