Third COVID-19 shots for those who qualify and have been notified, starting to roll out on North Coast

The first step of a targeted Third COVID-19 vaccination program is now underway in the Prince Rupert area, that  following the recent announcement that the province will be conducting a third round of COVID-19 vaccination shots for those who are extremely vulnerable and immune compromised.

The Northern Health Facebook page which is dedicated to Prince Rupert themes is relaying the news of the third shot program, with a number of residents of the region advising that they have already received their text or other communication towards the program, with some already vaccinated.

Northern health explains who qualifies for the third shot program as follows:

The people who fall into this group have been identified through their use of the health system and contacted directly from the provincial government. This is how it worked when the CEV group was originally identified for their first and second doses.

While the Third Dose program starts to roll out, the ongoing quest to vaccinate British Columbians with their First and Second Vaccination shots continues province wide.
