August found firefighters in Port Edward and Prince Rupert sharpening their skills

Ongoing training programs made for some of the work
for Fire fighters in Prince Rupert and Port Edward

While the alarm calls continue to roll in through the month of August, training continued to be a key focus for both the Prince Rupert Fire/Rescue Department and the Volunteer Firefighters of the District of Port Edward.

The two departments charted some of their activities through their Social media feeds through the month, with the Prince Rupert crews working on hose work and taking advantage of the now closed up townhouses on McKay for their training program.

The Fire/Rescue Department taking viewers into the action by providing some video of the work.

For the District of Port Edward's Firefighters, brushing up on BC Hydro themes was the focus for the end of last month.

With Port Edward members completing some BC Hydro provided Electrical Awareness Training.
