There's a new byline in the local paper, as Keili Bartlett takes up her duties with the Fraser Street publication, joining the Northern View from her most recent time spent in the Banff area.

A graduate of the University of Kings College in Halifax, Ms. Bartlett has reported from central Newfoundland and England to name a few of her resume notes to this point.

She is taking the spot recently vacated by Joseph Jack, his time with the paper proved to be a short timeline, with the journalist shifting over to provincial politics within months of his June arrival on the North Coast.

The transit from reporter to MLA's aide saw Mr. Jack join the constituency office for North Coast MLA Jennifer Rice in August.

The weekly paper's newest reporter was quick out of the gate on Thursday with a number of stories to the paper's website.

In what seems to be an initiation ritual for the weekly, the newest journalist joined the rest of the Northern View editorial and reporting team in delivering papers, part of the celebration of newspaper carrier week for the paper.

They not only recount the news ... on occasion they deliver it as well!
