The new seniors residences in Port Edward have been given a name and target date for occupancy as work comes to an end on the eight unit housing development for the District.

Grey Owl Retreat is the name for the one bedroom seniors units in the centre of Port Edward, with occupancy available as of January.

The units are available for seniors that are 55 and up and preference is being given to those that currently live in the Port Edward area, but the facility is open to applications from those living in Prince Rupert.

The fixed rate for rental will be $475 per month plus utilities.

You can get more information about Grey Owl Retreat from April at the North Coast Transition Society, to inquire further about the application process contact her at 250-627-8959 extension 35

The North Coast Transition Society is also looking for artists to submit a design for the signage for the Grew Owl Retreat and the new supportive housing development in Prince Rupert to be known as Crows Nest Lodge, you can find more information on that project from the North Coast Transition Society Facebook page.
