It was a busy day of transiting the Prince Rupert Harbour for the Dave Walker Jingle Boat Express with the popular seasonal journey featuring four sailings on the day, taking those who had qualified for their tickets last month through some very diverse North Coast weather.
The project which was coordinated by North Coast Literacy Now, Northern Savings Credit Union and the Prince Rupert Port Authority took passengers out towards the Seal Cove area on a near hour long tour of the harbour before returning to port at the Atlin Terminal.
Climbing aboard the Inside Passage the team at Prince Rupert Adventure Tours played the role of reindeer for the floating Holiday Season party complete with Santa, showing some of the sights along the way for those on the sailings of 10 AM, 11 AM, 1 and 2 PM.
The youngsters received some swag bags as part of the journey with contributions coming from a number of local organizations and merchants who joined in to make the day a memorable one.
The event which has taken the spirit of the Jingle Bell Express Train trip of years past once again proved to be a much in demand journey, with many, many entries submitted for the opportunity to pick up the spaces on the four trips of today.
